My real passion
with dogs began about 20 years ago
. As a present for graduating from
veterinary school my parents gave
me a Greyhound bitch . Although
she was bought as a pet , I became
more and more interested in dog
shows and that is where I saw an
IW for the first time .
I bought my first
IW from a french kennel and some
years later I decided to breed . I
mated her with a German dog from
Evertz (Tirliffin), a kennel which
is still dominant in my lines . I
used some of their stud dogs and
also took many bitches there to be
bred . Then , I also used Curoï ,
Hydebeck and Pytlochry’s lines and
more recently Oelmühle .
Unfortunately I can only breed
about two litters a year due to my
heavy work schedule , for it is
something I really enjoy and love
.
I don’t show as
much as I use to , but I try to be
present at all the big IW events ,
German and French club shows and
Crufts , sometimes with sucess !
For the past five
years I have been President of the
French IW and Deerhound club and
this year President , which is a
big responsability and a lot of
work . At present I am qualified
as judge for Irish Wolfhounds,
Deerhounds, Greyhounds, Saluki and
Afghan Hounds .
It is a pleasure
to meet you and your dogs , which
enjoy a fine worldwide reputation
.
